Hideo Ohta is engaged in audits of companies related to infrastructure and sustainability at PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC. His professional focus is in providing sustainability advisory and consulting services, including valuation services, related to the renewable energy, infrastructure, ESG and asset management industries.
Currently, he is engaged in providing valuation services for renewable energy businesses to multiple listed infrastructure funds and privately placed infrastructure funds. He has been providing system design advice to infrastructure funds since the market was established in Japan.
He also provides business and financial due diligence for infrastructure funds and alternative funds, and advisory services relating to the establishment of asset management companies.
He is the Vice Chairman of the Valuation Expert Subcommittee of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants. In the past, he was a member of an external evaluation committee related to selecting recipients of subsidiaries for the introduction of home fuel cell co-generation systems to expand the use of fuel cells; a biofuel study committee member; and a member of an advisory board committee in charge of formulating model contracts for investment limited partnerships. He has also worked as a part time lecturer at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Accountancy and as a member of the TSE Listed Infrastructure Market Study Group.
