Ryo Shimakata has been with PwC’s financial reporting advisory practice since 2000 and has extensive GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices) conversion experience in Japan and elsewhere, especially in the banking and insurance industries, for both IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and US GAAP. He has also provided accounting advisory services to numerous companies across various industries on specific products or transactions under IFRS, US GAAP and Japanese GAAP. Ryo is also the leader of the assurance practice’s private equity services, and has provided private equity firms with solutions related to all aspects of financial reporting requirements.
Ryo is a US certified public accountant and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
