Masafumi Yoshida joined PwC’s member firm in Japan in 1997, primarily handling assurance, accelerated consolidation accounting and IFRS convergence in Japan. In 2002, he joined PwC China. He has worked in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing and Wuhan over the past 20 years, and transferred to the PwC China Guangzhou office in 2021.
His recent experience includes accounting audit and tax advisory support, as well as providing consulting services to Japanese companies in China on Chinese domestic internal management practices, internal control, J-SOX, business process improvement and corporate restructuring. In addition, he has held and lectured at numerous seminars on the Chinese auto market, Chinese IPOs, FTA schemes, and updates on Chinese accounting and tax laws and regulations.
Starting from 2023, he concurrently leads Hong Kong SAR (hereinafter ‘Hong Kong’) and South China Japan Business Development, supporting Japanese companies operating in Hong Kong and South China.
