After gaining experience in accounting and tax related jobs at a Japanese company, Naoki Yamamoto joined PwC Tax Japan in 2015.

Naoki has been involved in not only tax compliance services for Japanese domestic companies but also various consulting services, such as providing assistance for the introduction of consolidated tax systems, consultations on business reorganisations, and international tax consulting services, including assistance relating to the Japanese controlled foreign corporation (CFC) regulations, the use of the Authorise OECD Approach (AOA) to attribute profits to permanent establishments, and tax due diligence support for M&A projects. In addition to corporate tax matters, Naoki has experience with the preparation of transfer pricing policies and documentation, and providing consulting services for introducing intra-group service models.

Since his secondment to PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore Pte Ltd in 2022, he has been providing support to Japanese businesses with corporate income tax matters, goods and services tax (GST), tax incentives and so on. He collaborates not only with PwC Singapore team members but also other PwC firms in the ASEAN and Oceania region.
