Governance support for Legal entity structuring and local incorporation

PwC Consulting LLC assisted with the legal entity structuring and local incorporation for the Japan business of a US-based life insurance provider and its acquired international life insurance company from the feasibility study phase to planning and implementation phases.

With a cross functional team of regulatory, tax and project management specialist from Assurance, Tax, and Advisory lines of service, PwC Consulting LLC was able to provide a structure to satisfy the requirements of the IRS closing agreement, while enabling maximum tax and treasury benefits without disrupting the business, and execute the project as scheduled.
