Masaki Yasui, CEO-appointed, said:
“The problems facing society and businesses have become increasingly complex due to social division, the worsening effects of climate change, advances in science and technology and market diversification. I believe that to solve these social problems and respond flexibly to the changing definition of value, consulting firms are now expected to play the role of a pivotal hub leveraging their intelligence and to strengthen a hands-on approach to foster closer collaboration with their clients. We will consolidate our wisdom that transcends industry and geographical boundaries to enhance the services we offer to our clients. More specifically, we will promote seamless collaboration among businesses, governments, universities and financial institutions as well as global companies and startups. We will gain the ability to view business and data architecture from a broad perspective to have a better understanding of problems. Finally, we will gain higher levels of knowledge and experience in critical technology areas. At PwC Consulting, we remain committed to working with our clients to create value together in all directions and in multi-dimensional aspects to help them build trust, achieve sustainable growth and solve important social problems.”
Nobuaki Otake, Chair-appointed, said:
“Since I took on the role of CEO in July 2020, I have dedicated the past four years to accelerating our efforts to provide all-round support for our clients amid the rapidly changing landscape of social problems and business environment. To ensure that our clients’ business management is effectively driven by these changes, we have supported our clients with flexible ideas in many areas. These areas encompass business strategy reviews, business management transformation using digital technology such as AI, technology investment, work style reform, human resources development, strengthening supply chain resilience and expanding ESG investment. I am truly grateful to our many stakeholders for giving us opportunities for dialogue and for their assistance as we rose to the challenge of dealing with new management issues. I have high expectations for our new CEO who will succeed me. I am confident that, with his new leadership and vision, he will increase the value we offer to our clients as they address their management issues and social and environmental problems. Furthermore, I trust he will help us continue to grow as a company. In my new role as Chair, I am as committed as ever to offering value through the PwC global network to our clients, our employees and society as a whole.”
