We believe our people collectively demonstrate a strong commitment to giving back. Whether it’s participating in meaningful Ramadan initiatives, our annual One Firm Impact Day, or being part of local projects, such as planting trees or taking part in environmental preservation initiatives or even packing relief aid boxes in times of crises - our employees engage wholeheartedly in hands-on initiatives that foster community and compassion.
For many of our colleagues, this commitment is deeply personal, and they take the initiative to lead their own projects, while others actively seek opportunities to contribute. With the full support of our leadership team, who recognise and nurture this desire, we have cultivated an environment that prioritises service and community engagement.
Our commitment is reflected in our increasing number of volunteers, who contributed more than 16,000 hours across all 235 initiatives this year—more than doubling our efforts from 2023. This dedication not only drives positive change in the communities we serve but also instils a deep sense of belonging and purpose among our employees. It reminds them that they are valued not just as professionals, but as vital contributors to society.
Ramadan is a time for reflection, community and giving back. In 2024, PwC Middle East employees participated in over 40 initiatives - with 21 of these programmes taking place in Saudi Arabia alone. From distributing food parcels and organising iftar meals to donating clothing, these efforts supported over 14,000 beneficiaries in our region.
"Participating in the Ramadan food packaging initiative in Egypt was a deeply humbling and meaningful experience. It reminded me that our work is about more than business - it's about giving back to the community. Contributing to such an effort during this sacred time was truly inspiring and the sense of teamwork and shared purpose was powerful. I'm proud to have played a part in making this Ramadan brighter for those in need.”
Beyond Ramadan, our annual One Firm Impact Day again brought PwC Middle East teams together from across the region to contribute to their communities. This year, our employees participated in over 44 initiatives across the Middle East, benefiting more than 4,300 people.
“Being part of activities, such as planting trees, fosters a legacy of environmental stewardship and reinforces the importance of protecting our planet. They also serve as a powerful reminder that even small actions can lead to a lasting, positive impact on our world.”
“PwC Middle East’s commitment to corporate sustainability aligns with my dedication to driving social change and humanitarian efforts, and I’m proud to contribute to this shared mission.”
"I love that the firm gives us the opportunity to volunteer through a variety of initiatives that make a real difference. Participating in a relief aid packaging initiative was particularly rewarding for me. It’s heartening to see how, when we unite as a team, we can make a positive impact on others’ lives."
