PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC publishes the Audit Quality Report to fulfil our accountability on initiatives related to the establishment of governance and the system of quality management, people development and the use of technology to deliver high-quality audits.
The Audit Quality Report 2024 is the first report to be published by PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC, which is a new integrated firm.
Section 1 covers management discussions and featured topics such as assurance on sustainability information, generative AI and people development for shaping the future.
Section 2 explains initiatives related to governance, quality management and people which underpin our unwavering commitment to quality.
We work to incorporate new perspectives to adapt to ever-changing times with foresight, while combining the strengths of both firms which have placed utmost importance on trust and quality, promptly responding to stakeholders’ diverse expectations and help build a high-trust society in uncertain times with a widening trust gap.

Section 1 Building trust for the future of Japan
About a year has passed since our integration in December 2023. A new leadership team was launched in July 2024. This integration was one of the decisions made to trigger a breakthrough. Through this, we will achieve sustained growth together with our clients. We, as PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan LLC, will further contribute to building trust in society by enhancing the strengths of both firms and leveraging integration synergies.
Megatrends such as evolving AI, developments in sustainability and heightened geopolitical tensions have been accelerating changes in society. As a consequence, a trust gap is expanding.
To close a trust gap in society, we have, and will always, put trust and quality at our core as a professional services firm, and continue to take on challenges to promote the future generation of audits. Our initiatives include harnessing technology and developing new assurance services for ensuring the reliability of sustainability information and responding to developments in AI. We will pursue a breakthrough by cultivating a culture to encourage the development of people with unique talent and investing in people.
