Due to COVID-19 and various geopolitical risks, Japanese companies are facing an increasingly uncertain business environment. In addition, due to various paradigm shifts, the need for business model reform is increasing not only in Japan but also for overseas operations.
Companies that advance into the international market inevitably will face some difficulties and cultural gaps. It can be hard to achieve successful globalisation with only your existing human resources. At PwC, we believe that our professional skills, experience and network can help you on your way to success in overseas business.
One of PwC’s advantages is its strong global network with nearly 364,000 people in over 151 countries. Within the PwC global network, we have formed the Japan Business Network (JBN), a network team covering 40 countries and territories, comprising competent professionals providing support to Japanese companies that plan to expand into the international market. We provide this support through strong cross-border collaboration.
International business takes many forms depending on your purpose, region, strategy and specific approach. To make good choices, you need a solid entry strategy and people who know the country or region very well. Moreover, to be successful after entering the market, you will need not only knowledge of local laws, regulations and business practices but also personal connections with politicians, financial leaders and other businesspersons.
Our overseas business support services are not only provided to Japanese companies in the Japanese language. We are a service organization that provides complete solutions for various problems that may arise from differences in culture and business practice. We form a mixed team of professionals from Japan and the countries we work with. Together with local chambers of commerce and economic organizations, we work to gather the latest information on legislation, regulations and industrial trends. During this whole process, we also work with our clients.
Our greatest strength is our professionals throughout the world who are able to assist in your success by solving problems associated with doing business in your target country. We continue to help our clients in Japan become more internationally competitive, with the knowledge and experience we have gathered through the PwC global network.
I invite you to take advantage of the PwC global network to lead your international business to success.
